The Worcester County Health Department and the Town of Berlin Parks Commission Partner to Promote 2nd Annual Just Walk Berlin
Snow Hill, Maryland- Fall in to fitness this November and participate in the 2nd Annual Just Walk Berlin event to be held on Saturday, November 9th (rain date: November 16th) at Stephen Decatur Park, Rt. 113 and Tripoli Street, Berlin. This is a FREE event co-sponsored by the Worcester County Health Department and the Town of Berlin Parks Commission. The first 50 participants will receive a free Just Walk step counter.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while getting some physical activity with friends, family, and other community residents. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the 1.0 mile fun walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Health Department will be available to register participants for the Just Walk program and will provide healthy lifestyle information including healthy eating, physical activity, diabetes prevention information, and Quit Smoking Kits.
Just Walk is a free, self-directed, self-reported, incentive-based physical activity program that rewards participants for mileage of physical activity accumulated. Participants can earn a sweatshirt, t-shirt, water bottle, and more.
