The Town of Berlin offers its residents and businesses the ability to receive notifications of emergencies and other important announcements automatically through the CodeRED system. The CodeRED system is a high-speed emergency notification service provided by Ormond Beach, FL-based Emergency Communications Network.
The system can deliver messages by phone, email or text and via mobile app and allows the Town to inform its residents of incidents such as power outages, road closures, and other items which may affect the entire Town or specific areas. The Town has provided CodeRED with a database of residential and business telephone numbers and addresses, however, all residents and business operators with Berlin are encouraged to click on the CodeRED icon to enroll additional contact information including cell phone numbers, text, and email addresses, as well as to specify their contact method preferences.
