Born June 12, 1910, and died in 1987. Pruitt ran a sweet shop in Berlin with Earl Timmons in the 1930s and then became the owner and operator of the Admiral Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland. Pruitt initiated Town Administrator’s position in 1948, with Roland J. Purnell being the first to serve in the role. After a controversial vote, parking meters in town were removed.
