Trick-or-Treat hours have been set for Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 5-7 PM. Please note that Washington Street, from Main Street to West Street will be closed to through traffic. The Berlin Police Department reminds drivers to be aware of the extremely high volume of pedestrians during this time; particularly children who, in their excitement, often forget to be careful when crossing streets. Trick-or-treaters – and their parents – are also reminded to be aware of vehicle traffic, choose costumes that don’t interfere with vision or cause tripping hazards and to not accept homemade or unwrapped treats. The Police Department will have candy checking at Town Hall, 10 William Street from 6:30-8 PM. Residents are also asked to please turn off porch lights at 7 PM or to leave porch lights off if not choosing to participate.
