Graham Avenue Stormwater Project Community Meeting
April 11, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Keeping the Waters Low AND Clean
Join the Town and Maryland Coastal Bays Program (MCBP) on Thursday, April 11 for a community meeting to learn about the latest effort to reduce flooding and improve water quality in one of our wetter neighborhoods. With a grant from Chesapeake Bay Trust, the Town will be transforming a vacant lot at the corner of Graham Avenue and Old Ocean City Boulevard into a “submerged gravel wetland” to capture and filter stormwater before it enters the storm drains and makes it way to the Coastal Bays. Representatives from the Town, MCBP and EA Engineering will explain and answer questions about the new project to local residents, businesses and the general public at 6 p.m. on April 11th at the Berlin Activities Depot at 10008 Old Ocean City Blvd (just across Graham Avenue from the project site). So mark your calendars and we’ll see you next month! For more information, contact Steve Farr at Maryland Coastal Bays Program at [email protected] or 410-213-2297.
