SUPPORT WEDDING BASKET GIVEAWAY
Over $1,300 value in gifts to be given away at first ‘Bridal Stroll Berlin’
The first step down the aisle in downtown Berlin for the community’s first-ever “Bridal Stroll” will begin at the Second Friday Art Stroll on June 8th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Participating businesses will be showcasing their special wedding offerings with creative and artistically inspired displays. Already several Berlin businesses have donated over $1,300 in gifts for a “wedding basket” to be given away during the event.
Eleven businesses have donated gifts for the wedding basket give-a-way, each designed to make Berlin the perfect place for couples to “Say I Do”.
Gifts contributed to date include: Atlantic Retreat: $200 gift certificate for service or product; Atlantic Hotel: two night stay in deluxe room and dinner for two in the Drummer’s Café valued at $500; Baked Dessert Café: Get Baking Package with the café’s own cake mix, cupcake papers, measuring cups and more; Ballroom Made Simple: one private lesson for two valued at $48; Bungalow Love: set of Mr. and Mrs. Etched beer Mug / Wine Glass valued at $45; Culver’s Antiques: $150 gift certificate; Furious Fitness; free one month gym membership with one training session, a $65 value; The Nest: Canapé Set valued at $75; Treasure Chest: Wedding Planner Book and Jewelry Cleaner valued at $35; Victorian Charm: Brighton “Charming Wedding” bracelet, a $125 value; Waystead Inn: Cooking Class for two valued at $70.
For several weeks businesses from Berlin and the surrounding area have been collaborating on how to best make Berlin, Maryland a wedding destination for the mid-Atlantic region. “We thought what better place to have a memorable and tasteful wedding, then here in historic and beautiful Berlin,” said Angela Reynolds, who is chairing the effort.
The historical and picturesque ambiance of Berlin is a perfect setting for all types of weddings, according to Jen Davis, of Bustle, a new bridal boutique on Main Street that will officially open for the Bridal Stroll Berlin on June 8th. Types of local businesses committed to participating in this inaugural wedding stroll weekend include the bridal boutique, unique gift shops, bakeries, wedding planners, florists, photographers, jewelers, hotels, restaurants and much more.
As the name suggest, there will be lots of information and ideas for planning a memorable wedding in Berlin accompanied with the wedding basket of great gifts for one special person to take home and some tasty treats, all wrapped up in Berlin’s now well-known artistic flair.
