At their Regular Meeting on January 14, 2013, the Berlin Mayor and Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2012-08, establishing a Septic Tier Map as required by the Maryland Sustainable Growth and Agricultural Preservation Act of 2012. This Act is the result of recommendations made by the Task Force on Sustainable Growth and Wastewater Disposal on planning for growth served by on-site sewage disposal systems and where major subdivisions served by on-site sewage disposal systems and shared facilties can be located.
