Berlin Clean-Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 26th and will include the start of the Stephen Decatur Park mural project. Clean-Up Day sign-up begins at 8:30 AM in either Stephen Decatur or Henry Park and runs until noon. In addition to the usual weeding, raking and general sprucing up, the painting of the mural is scheduled to start.

Volunteers are asked to bring basic gardening tools, including gloves and rakes. There are plenty of “kid-safe” areas and tasks so this activity is family-friendly. The Hudson Branch clean-up will again be included as part of the Clean-Up Day activities; for this area, participants must be over 18. The Stephen Decatur Park Mural Project is also scheduled to begin on Clean-Up Day. Clean-Up Day is rain-or-shine; painting is dependent on a nice, sunny day. This project is expected to take several weeks and volunteers will be needed throughout. If you’d like to help on another day, please email Ms. Ashman at [email protected].

You can also sign-up online for any of the activities or areas; click here for more information.
