Stormwater Management Construction Project Timelines To Be Presented
(July 27, 2016) — The Town of Berlin is holding a neighborhood meeting to provide the schedule for the construction of a stormwater management system behind the Shore Up! building and the replacement of the Flower St. culvert at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in the Multi-Purpose Building located at 130 Flower Street in Berlin, Mayor Gee Williams announced.
The Town will also present information regarding the work it will be doing in conjunction with the culvert project on a portion of Hudson Branch that runs parallel to Showell St.
“These projects have been our top stormwater priority. We recently received approval from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and quickly put the projects out to bid,” said Mayor Williams. “We want to update the neighbors on the construction timelines so they know what to expect over the next several months,” he added.
“While the meeting is open to everyone, the focus will be on the construction schedules for these two projects,” said Town Administrator Laura Allen. “In addition to providing an update on the projects, Town staff and representatives from EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. PBC, the Town’s stormwater engineering consultants, will be present to answer questions,” she added.
