Beginning September 14, 2020
(September 4, 2020) — Based on Governor Larry Hogan’s most recent Executive Orders regarding the Covid-19 Pandemic, Berlin will begin to allow limited public attendance at Mayor and Council and Board and Commission Meetings beginning on Monday, September 14, 2020. Current guidelines allow up to 50 percent capacity for indoor venues, with appropriate social distancing and face coverings for all attendees.
Deputy Town Administrator Mary Bohlen explained that, “In addition to Town officials and staff, up to 16 seats will be available to presenters, members of the public and the press.” Bohlen further explained that doors will be opened 15 minutes before the designated start time of the meeting and seating will be first-come, first-served. At the start of the meeting, or when capacity has been reached, the doors will be locked to entry from the outside.
Until the ability for full capacity is restored, questions and comments pertaining to the meeting agenda will continue to be accepted until noon the day of the meeting and the Town will continue to broadcast meetings live via Facebook. More information is available at www.berlinmd.gov or by calling 410-641-2770.
