Berlin Welcome Center to Close After Labor Day Weekend In Preparation
for Town Hall and Planning Department Building Renovations
Berlin, MD – August 22, 2025 – The Town of Berlin announces that the Berlin Welcome Center, located at 14 South Main Street, will be closed to the public beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2025, following Labor Day weekend.
This closure is part of preparations for the upcoming renovations to Town Hall and Planning Building.
As construction is scheduled to begin in December, the Welcome Center building will be repurposed for storage and office space to accommodate staff during the renovation period. In the meantime, necessary preparations and transitions will begin this fall.
While the main area of the Welcome Center will be closed, the foyer will remain open 24/7 to provide continued access to brochures, maps, and general visitor information.
After renovations, a new visitor center will re-open in its new location next to Town Hall in the building that formerly housed the Planning Department.
