Town of Berlin Announces
Kate Daub as Acting Town Administrator
Berlin, MD – The Town of Berlin is excited to announce that Associate Town Administrator Kate Daub will serve as Acting Town Administrator as the Town prepares to fill the position following Mary Bohlen’s retirement. Daub brings a strong record of professional development, municipal experience, and commitment to public service that will support continuity and stability during this period.
Daub graduated from Salisbury University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in communication. She began her career with the Town of Berlin in 2022 as an Administrative Assistant and, that same year, joined the Maryland Municipal Clerks Association and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Her dedication to professional growth and municipal best practices has been evident throughout her tenure.
In 2024, Daub advanced to Special Projects Administrator before being appointed Associate Town Administrator in July 2026. In July 2026, she also completed the Maryland Certified Public Manager Program through the Schaefer Center for Public Policy at the University of Baltimore, further strengthening her leadership and administrative capabilities.
“Kate has demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and a strong commitment to serving the Berlin community,” said Mayor Zack Tyndall. “Her experience across multiple areas of municipal operations and her dedication to continuous improvement make her well prepared to support the Town during this transition. I look forward to working with her as we move through the recruitment process for the next Town Administrator.”

The Town is working to fill the position of Town Administrator and will continue to keep the citizens of Berlin informed as the process progresses.
