Berlin Postpones Planned Electric Outages
Forecasted Thunderstorms Cause Delay in Scheduled Work
(June 17, 2019) — Berlin Electric canceled two town-wide outages planned for Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 12:30 a.m. and Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 12:30 a.m. due to forecasted storms.
“We expect thunderstorms at critical points in our schedule for this project. It’s not safe to have our electric crews completing the work this week,” said Town Administrator Laura Allen. “We’re evaluating the work we have scheduled for the electric utility and will let everyone know when the new dates have been selected,” she added.
“We indicated weather may cause a delay in our scheduled outages when we first announced them. Looks like Mother Nature wants us to pick another time,” Allen said.
