We hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween. As we move in to November, remember this is a time for giving. If you are looking for ways to give back to our community please reach out to the Berlin Police Department at 410-641-1333 or Chief Downing at adowning@berlinmdpd.org for more information. Also, please be on the look out for the annual energy assistance letter to make monetary donations and help others in the community, more information below.
In October the Mayor and Council established new parking regulations to allow adequate space for fire, EMS, police, and other large town vehicles to access the roadways. These regulations include no parking on Grace Street, no parking on the south side of Washington Street, and no parking at the spaces immediately adjacent to the intersection of Washington Street which includes: South Main street, Grace Street, Jefferson Street, and West Street. They approved the 2020 events schedule, holiday schedule, and the Mayor and Council Meetings schedule. They approved the annexation agreement for I.G. Burton. Lastly, they agreed to close Town offices for a full day instead of a half day on Christmas Eve.
The Town also welcomed employee Jeffrey Fleetwood into the role of Town Administrator, employee Mary Bohlen into the role of Deputy Town Administrator, and employee Kelsey Jensen into the role of Administrative Manager.
