In the event of significant snow accumulation, the Berlin Public Works Department asks that residents and all others make every effort to avoid parking on the street as this hinders and, in same cases, prevents the snow removal crews from being able to adequately plow streets.
Residents and property owners are also reminded that, the Berlin Town Code, Section C9-4(C); Public ways and Sidewalks, requires that the owners of any property abutting on a sidewalk keep the sidewalk clear of all ice, snow and other obstructions.
Also keep in mind that significant snow accumulation may affect the regular trash and recycling collection.
