Berlin Releases Berlin Falls Park Reports
(August 25, 2017) — The Town of Berlin released four reports focused on Berlin Falls Park today. The reports address the cost of remediating the ponds, rehabilitating the primary building, and implementing an interpretive plan for a portion of the property. In addition, the Town released a report from scientists associated with the Thriving Earth Exchange (TEX).
“We had some questions regarding the cost to remediate the ponds and the buildings. These reports put us in a good position to start answering them,” said Town Administrator Laura Allen. “The price point to remediate the ponds is high. The good news is the volunteer scientists determined there is no microbiological hazard in the ponds, therefore there is no immediate need to remediate them,” she added.
