Berlin Reschedules Brief Electric Outages
Repairs to Critical Equipment Needed
(July 1, 2019) — Berlin Electric has rescheduled two town-wide outages on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 12:30 a.m. and Friday, July 12, 2019 at 12:30 a.m. to make repairs to essential equipment.
“The outages will last approximately 2-3 hours each,” said Town Administrator Laura Allen. “Both outages are weather permitting, so if it rains we’ll reschedule them again. The outages were timed to minimize the impact on our residential and commercial customers, as well as limit the need for overtime,” Allen said.
“We’re making this announcement early to give our electric customers time to plan,” stated the Town Administrator. “We expect to have service back up before everyone heads to work, but our customers should make sure they have a non-electric alarm clock to get them up those mornings,” she added.
