EDIT: 03.23.20 NOTICE – Parks CLOSED effective March 23, 2020

At this early stage of the national Coronavirus emergency the public parks and playgrounds in the Town of Berlin remain open. We recognize that although these places offer outdoor recreation, particularly for our youngsters, it is important that “Social Distancing” be observed by everyone.

The decision to continue to keep Berlin’s public parks and playgrounds open was made in consultation with the Worcester County Health Department. The health department’s advice to Berlin is, “Fresh air and sunshine is full of Vitamin D and this is what people need” during the current health emergency.

Several signs are being posted at Berlin’s three public parks: Henry Park, Heron Park and Stephen Decatur Park. The signs read:  Town of Berlin – Public Notice. Gatherings of more than 10 people are PROHIBITED. Please be mindful of Social Distancing — Avoid being closer than 6-Feet to others.

Berlin Police law enforcement officers will patrol all three town parks during daylight hours to reinforce the importance of Social Distancing throughout the duration of this health emergency.
